The Battle of Saratoga was the turning point of the Revolutionary War.The battles were fought eighteen days apart on the same grounds, 9 miles south of Saratoga, New York. The battles were won the the Contenintal Army which gave the win to the Colonist. Benedict Arnold was the Captian that lead the Army in their victory over there mother country Great Britian. This Battle was famously known as "The Battle that turned the tide". The battle was named this because this was the battle that kicked of the 13 colonist rise to indenpence from Great Britain.
